• Would you prefer we have a single one-time-only finale? Or do you like the final day sort of ending?
I prefer a final day instead of a single one-time-only finale. Like several have said already, it allows more time for people who are either from another time zone, or are lost as to what to do and where to go, to have another chance.
I have to admit though, I still favor the one-time-only finale where Gwen fried everyone and then said “Thank you for playing GuildWars”. It was surprising, no one knew it was going to happen, and to me it was like an announcement that this was the absolute end of the event.
• Did you enjoy the games?
The games were great! Having to buy tickets gave it more of a carnival type feeling to it too, which I enjoyed until I found myself even more poor than I was before and I still couldn’t stop buying them =P
The rings were fun trying to guess which one might end up being the winning one, until I learned that there were new titles and that you could just go afk on the rings to get the titles. I know it was my choice to go afk on the rings and ruin the fun that way, but I’m just saying that after standing idle on the rings for so long, I’m kind of sick of them. I’m happy with my titles though.
Do you have suggestions for more?
I’d still enjoy seeing a game where people or teams of people have to race against others to try to chase pigs (or something like them) into a designated area. Of course the person/team that collected the most pigs would win. I can imagine that a lot would get frustrated though, since the pigs don’t cooperate... even worse when ettins come after you. >_>
• Were you able to complete the Captain missions?
Nope. Tried a couple of them several times with no luck. Most of the time one or two people in the group would get enraged because the group wasn’t doing too well, since it was so difficult. I enjoyed the difficulty though, so I would say keep the difficulty or make it harder! Odds are I just had the poor luck of getting with the wrong type of PUGs.
• Did you score a lot of loot from the present drops?
I got a fair amount. Often I would just go to my own isolated area, so that no one would take my gift and because the npc spots were all taken.
I do like the idea MSecorsky suggested where the gifts would end up in your inventory, but I think that would ruin the “fun” ANet was probably trying to create, since you would either have to wait around for awhile in town as the gifts are added to your inventory occasionally, or the gifts are just plopped into your inventory at once, which to me isn’t very fun.
Instead, you could do it like Wintersday (explained a bit below) or have the gifts assigned to the characters in the area, like items are after killing a monster (assignment expiration time included). And to add an even more farfetched idea, maybe have the assigned gifts randomly fall somewhere in town and have the people try to search for it before a time expires and a new gift randomly appears somewhere else.
• What did you like best?
I enjoyed the surprise competition against the fury after receiving the masks, how information on how to obtain a mask (what to collect and when) was given ahead of time, and how you could make a grasp your pet (ok it just followed me around and I know it wasn’t intended) =P
Least?
This wasn’t any trouble for me, but I’ve had to show a few lost people from Vizunah Square how to get to the Monestary. I think a little more information on how to get to the festival for non-natives I guess, should be given. Getting to the Monestary is very easy, but some of the newer people seem to get lost trying to find the way.

They did exactly that for Wintersday, except you were attempting to give gifts to kids, and if you made it, they’d give one back to you.

-Would you prefer we have a single one-time-only finale? Or do you like the final day sort of ending?
It was okay. the grasp game was really fun to do over and over. but it was not funny to have come back each 2 hours for an other toon to get a mask (yes i know its easy to get them now till the 11th but still) you had not even time to switch toon for the mask. but i got all 6 at the same day!
Did you enjoy the games? Do you have suggestions for more?
I did not enjoy the games of chance (the rings) most people where afk wich it didnt make it fun. the first hour people where running around on them well THAT was fun.
Were you able to complete the Captain missions?
Yes Not to easy but with a guild team it was rather easy to do. just took some time to figure out a nice group of people so we didnt die.
Did you score a lot of loot from the present drops?
i had in total about 20 presents overall from the present rain. i didnt wanna "camp" for loot and running around on beans to get as many presents because u might get rice wine beans or orbs uhm well no thnx next time just put 50 presents in inventory when done and add some miniquest.
What did you like best? Least?
I liked the festival overall. but i expected more then this. first the easy quests wich where so easy that i did them on all 6 characters within 3 hours.
then very hard quests but with good team likely easy also ( i knnow it can be easy) and that over and over. it was fun though to do i like a challenge so now and then
Anet did a good job and i want to thank Anet team for making this possible to do and have some extra fun in the game!

Captain Rujiyo's "mini mission" (or whatever its called) reward of 50 Jade Orbs was the most pathetic reward in the history of Guild Wars. I seriously felt it was a complete waste of time, and was angered when I finally beat it.

* Would you prefer we have a single one-time-only finale? Or do you like the final day sort of ending?
The setup was good for the final day, as having the same event throughout the entire 24-hours gives people an opportunity to participate if they cannot do it at a certain time. The only thing is, the website information on the last day was misleading, and next time should be explained more clear.
* Did you enjoy the games? Do you have suggestions for more?
The games were OK, but the rings we're simply a large afk'er attraction. A 12-man team capture the flag game would be fun =-).
* Were you able to complete the Captain missions?
Honestly, no, because of the fact I am an assassin, it simply was not possible, especially for the rift missions. Finishing the mission is hard enough. Finishing with 4 players is harder. 1 or more players being an assassin, to many, think its completely suicide. Then for the reward being only a small amount of orbs, there wasn't a lot of motivation for some people to attempt it.
* Did you score a lot of loot from the present drops?
No, any items I got from the presents, I kept, and as for the gold, at the end I made no more than 5k.
* What did you like best? Least?
The dragon arena was fun, and its the only place where it did not matter what weapons you had, or what class you were. I liked the carnival games the least- there just wasn't enough motivation to do it.
One other thing too, is the fact that the Dragon Festival was EXTREMELY buggy.
A list of bugs and glitches since that update:
-Charmed animals disappeared in the Dragon Arena
-Ranger faces would change when you equipped certain items
-Untradeable tickets
-Unable to do the last mission (No Exclamation Mark to do quest)
-Several Emperor Kisu clones
-"The Fury" and the Grasps would stay after the mini-game is over
-You could cheat the mini-game by dropping celestial orbs behind festival gate, and lure grasp into it
-Last 2 times Emperor Kisu should have appeared, it became glitched, and he didn't
-The Festival didn't end on time
I really, really do appreciate the thought of the Dragon Festival. It was a nice update, and had potential. But look at that list, it's a long list. It seems like to me that this update was released too soon, and wasn't properly tested, or just wasn't tested enough. All of those bugs and glitches were very easy to accidentaly do, and repeatable 100% of the time, and makes me wonder if this update was tested at all before being released. It was still good for the thought, and the nice little things we got to do. But because of the lack of smoothness, and abundance of bugs and glitches, it really made me grade it down quite a bit.

Would you prefer we have a single one-time-only finale? Or do you like the final day sort of ending?
I like the final day thing, watch presents rain from the sky was a nice touch.
Did you enjoy the games? Do you have suggestions for more?
They were... adequate... Suggest for future mini-games to not let AFKing be a way to go for titles and easy money. As for the dragon arena... after Wintersday, this was a absolute let down. Sorry to say this, but I enjoyed having equal fighting pvp, but the skills sounded as if you did not try hard enough. 1 hit wonder, touch so you don't do anything, speed, rez,rez,rez,rez... From winters day it was 2 or so skills for all, 1 god skill, and then you get the VERY fun proffession skills which was nice. This was a big letdown, even for the prize at the end. (We get no presents ;_; )
Were you able to complete the Captain missions?
Yes, they were alot of fun, but the WORST spot to place it. To place missions where level 3s can have a go and find out they get stomped is not much of a emotional improvment. Although me and two other guild buddies of mine made a three man team and took whoever else along for a ride (as long as they did nothing stupid).
Did you score a lot of loot from the present drops?
No. Got like 30 presents, most of them I got more orbs (which after getting my first helm seemed useless), rice cakes(not bad... could be better if they worked outside), wine(drunk title(s) here I come!), and only 1k gold from 1 present (30 presents 1k gold... can I trade my orb presents for this?!)
What did you like best? Least?
Good and all... not better than Wintersday. Seemed more like the Halloween day thing, however even that had more material than putting masks on everything. Wish you had like a fun arena with all these Festival PvPs and mini-games so we can go and have fun rembering them. Also... the item wins for prizes seemed pathetic to me. Orbs for a very hard quest, orbs to win at dragon PvP, go AFK to win a title on the chance... only two things that made people's eyes stay on the screen was the final day and the Whack-a-worm thing.
Looking forward to the next one you have.

First off is my big complaint: This event did not last long enough. I was out of town the entire weekend and pretty much missed it. I got to do the 4 orb quests on Thursday night and got back just in time for the last handing out of masks on Sunday night. You guys specifically planned it to be on a holiday event and people do go places over holidays. Would've been nice to extend it a little longer.
I did not like the way of handing out of prizes after defeating the grasps. It was a nice idea but there were clearly some people who snatched up 20+ prizes while other people got only 2 or 3. Should've been more proportionate.
Theres nothing that you can really do about this, but I wish there was a way to keep people from selling (and price gouging) on the orbs when they were so easy to get.
I loved the gambling - I'm addicted! I also like that the red bean cakes don't completely negate an entire aspect of the game (like candy canes do with DP).

I'm only going to give feedback on the minigames because those were my favourite and I really dont care one way or the other about the other features.
The games of chance were fun. I dont care that you can go AFK on them (How else would people get the titles by playing normally?!?!) Even though I was AFK most of the time, it was still fun watching the wins/losses at times. And the carnival-like atmosphere added to the enjoyment. Please keep these types of games in for people like me who like the AFK aspect of it.
Now, on the other hand, there should be (in addition to the current mini games) some different minigames where active participation is a must. If these games also affect the current titles then make the wins/losses significantly more simply because you're actively playing it as opposed to being AFK.

Tickets at 15g each costed to much, waste loads of money on the games and was upset to find there was 4 more levels after.
5g for each would have been better.
Also an all day end of game event is better. There was loads of stuff happening which I couldn't join in with due to being at work.
Having things happen at 6AM GMT - 12 NOON GMT is fairly silly considering a lot of people are in school or at work.

Would you prefer we have a single one-time-only finale?
Not bothered really. I think the 'whole day' thing was better, as it meant that you had a lot of time to experience it. If tyou had a 'last hour' thing, lots of people might miss it, which would lead to more bitching...
Did you enjoy the games? Do you have suggestions for more?
The ring games were pretty boring, but the tag game was OK, and the dragon arena was great. Very strategic, 'cept when people just camped the res shrine :/. it'd be good to see more arenas where everyone is on even ground.
Were you able to complete the Captain missions?
I didn't actually try.
Did you score a lot of loot from the present drops?
I got 21 presents, although we ran a little game in our guild where we picked them all up and divided it evenly, so I ended up having 27 in the end. 8 wine, 11 bean and the rest orbs.
What did you like best?
Dragon Arena, and the quests.
Least?
The fact that the festival prizes, Dragon arena, Finale and Wurm game all gave you orbs. After doing the quests from hanso, you only needed another 10 to get a mask, and since I only wanted one, all the orbs I got from then on were useless to me. You can't sell them at merchants, and I didn't really want to sit aorund spamming "WTS orbs" so I just gave them to a guildy. I think you could have given us something better as prizes in those things, or something you could sell to merchant.

The finale was fantastic, HOWEVER, people were unsure to weather it was the fianle or not. A bit of clarification in that area would've been nice. But gj on that anyway. Means that there are fewer people who miss out.
Did you enjoy the games? Do you have suggestions for more?
The Ring games were awfull. Hated so many people just going AFK, just to get a silly title. Dragon arena was a lot of fun, enjoyed that a lot (although snowball fights were better :P). Wack-A-Mole was brilliant.
Were you able to complete the Captain missions?
Yes i completed a few, but was rly put off by the rewards. They were a bit of a joke IMO.
Did you score a lot of loot from the present drops?
No, i only got 2! lol. Wasn't fast enough so in the end i just gave up.
What did you like best?
The quests deffinately. Dragon arena and mole game were good too.
Least?
The festival prizes were AWFUL. Also the rewards for the cpt missions were rly bad too. Should've put some more thought into it.

I didnt actually participate so i could be wrong. My suggestion is about the actual reward.
But i would like for these event masks to have real armour ratings (or goes over your existing helm). The reason being that if you have one then its ok, but once you start piling them up (pumpkin / Xmas / Tengu / Dragon), its a shame having all those masks sitting there doing nothing 99% of the time as they have no practical use. TBH its a bit of a shame if you only have one, i loved my pumkin head, but once the initial novelty wears off you dont really wear it in areas where your not mucking about.
The Event was ok from what i heard, i didnt participate because i was to lazy to farm for orbs.

- Final day was great.
- Did you enjoy the games? Do you have suggestions for more?
- Yea, very much. Everything was pretty fine except few bugs.
- Were you able to complete the Captain missions?
- Didn't try, I heard reward was like 40 orbs and that wasn't worth it.
- Did you score a lot of loot from the present drops?
- Wasn't bad tbh. Mostly ~40 presents once 82.
- What did you like best? Least?
Best part was Festival Prize hunt and Dragon masks which look awesome. Least... dunno, I guess no armor on masks. IMO add some temporary crafter that can add some armor bonus and +1 attribute on the mask. It looks best of previous masks by far.

Big problem with this event... too many useless orbs
The festival games we're kinda pointless, I always came out with less tickets than what I went in with. The hatchling tagging thing was ok, except the reward was orbs.
I just tried once captain mission as a monk. I completed it... in like 2 hours and i just got some orbs as a reward. It was challenging but the reward and drops sucked.
I got lots of presents but from them i got mostly orbs, not gonna get 5 dragon masks so whats the point of all these. I wish we could actually choose like we want. I'd kinda like to get lots of rice wine. Would be better if u could trade orbs for wine or cake.
I guess the best was the dragon arena, but skills were limited.
The worst was the festival ring games.

on the whole, a day-long finale is probably better. but any is good, really, as long as it takes timezone into account. the cut-off times just shouldn't be global. you have different territories after all. at 9 am (gmt+2) i'm at work.

had some fun jumping on the rings with guildies, but overall don't care about the monastery games. don't like the fact that time+money=new title, and that you could outright buy the presents.
dragon arena, otoh, was great.
suggestions? more special pvp modes with restricted skillsets.

The Final Day made this the first event I was able to see the 'ending' to. It was pretty fun collecting the orbs and getting presents. And, I only got to do it once, so anything less than a day and I'll miss out.
Did you enjoy the games? Do you have suggestions for more?
Dragon Arena was fun, I didn't go play many of the others.
Were you able to complete the Captain missions?
I was on the first night of this, and we tried a couple times before I had to leave. I really WANTED to, but the next day when I got back on it was practically impossible to get a group as no one wanted to do them due to the low reward.
Did you score a lot of loot from the present drops?
I had rather poor luck and got mostly orbs, but since I didn't expect it at all, can't complain.
What did you like best? Least?
I liked most everything I tried.
I do wish it would have lasted a bit longer, like the wintersday festival. I was gone for several days like others have mentioned, so couldn't take everything in.
